Welcome to your new favourite Barre and Pilates Studio

At BARLATËS we have vowed to make pilates pilates again.

  • Very simply:

    • We offer mat-reformer (gets you used to the moves + equipment you will use at our next location on the reformer machine)

    • We offer the largest range and most competitive memberships and packages in our area

    • Our studio is super cute, warm, inviting and friendly

  • There is street parking along Dundas and on the residential streets (check the signs!) as well as a Green P lot just north of Dundas on Runnymede.

  • We offer barre, mat-pilates, mat-reformer pilates and our signature blend of all three called BARLATËS Sculpt. Click HERE for more info on the classes.

  • Yep! Our classes are for all levels and offer progressions and layers so you can chose which modification to go with. All of our instructors are excellent at communicating, explaining and cueing their students so you’ll be able to make your class as chill or as challenging as you’d like.

  • Yes you can pause your membership for a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 60 days. You can pause your membership up to twice in a 12 month period with 30 days written notice.

  • You can cancel classes up to 8 hours in advance. If you’re on the 2 Week Intro or Unlimited Monthly Membership you will be charged $20 for a late cancel/missed class. If you have a 5/10/15 Class Pack you will lose the class credit.

  • You can reschedule by logging into the system HERE and you can reschedule up to 8 hours before your class. Any class cancelled or rescheduled within 8 hours of your class is considered a late cancel and will either be charged $20 or you’ll lose the class credit (depending on your membership type.

  • When you add yourself to the waitlist you’ll see what number on the list you are. If you make it off the waitlist and into class you’ll be automatically enrolled and notified via text AND email. You will be notified at least 2 hours before class. If you’re hopeful to get into the 5:30pm class you’ll be notified by 3:30pm at the latest if you made it in!

  • We provide:

    • mats

    • equipment

    • sweat towels

    • sanitization materials

    • cute amenities in the bathroom (dry shampoo, hair spray, elastics, bobby pins, feminine products).

  • Please come prepared with:

    • water bottle

    • socks (simple to keep your feet warm). Grip socks feel and work very nicely on our mats!

    • A mat-towel if you’d like it

    • Your good energy! Positive vibes only!

  • No, sorry! Next location will though :) Please come as ready-to-workout as possible. There are cupboards inside class for your purse/bag, shoes+coats stay at the front and the door is locked while class is on.

  • We don’t have lockers due to limited space. However, the front door is locked during class and your purses/bag will be kept in a cupboard in the class itself.

  • Technically no! You don’t need socks at all for mat pilates or barre. We recommend them to keep your muscles warm so you don’t injure yourself. Grip socks feel and function very well on our mats though! We prefer them.

  • You’ll need to book online and purchase a drop-in or class online first. Our classes are forecasted to be full so there will not be space available for you if you don’t book online ahead of time.

  • Of course! However, the space is small and the music will be loud so please keep your animals ears and hearing in mind!

  • Each membership is different depending on how many times a week/month you’d like to come/commit. You can chose monthly memberships or class packages. Click HERE to see your options.

  • We can’t accommodate anyone extra attending the class or space with you, sorry!

  • Yes, in the best way! You’ll be doing a strength workout and getting stronger muscles. You’ll see the ‘toned’ look when you reduce your body fat percentage through nutrition/diet.

  • The only way you get big muscles is by eating more than your body needs in a day AND doing progressive overload in combination. Pilates and Barre will exercise your muscles to you get stronger and technically your muscles will grow if you feed them enough protein, but your overall nutrition/diet will determine whether you get bigger, smaller, or stay the same (in terms of size or weight.) Lots more info on this in our nutrition guide that is included with all of our monthly membership packages.

  • Yep, there will be very soon! AND our monthly membership holders will get a membership discount :) While we’re building that out, Ulana will be doing eyelash extensions and lash lift+tints up there through her BeautieByUllie business!

  • We do allow filming in class! There are specific filming mats and you will only be able to film on them exclusively. We kindly (and very strongly) ask you not to get anyone else in your videos. Your camera needs to be a straight-on shot propped against your water bottle at the end of your mat. We are very strict on this policy and don't ever want your neighbour to feel uncomfortable being in a video they don't want to be in (but if they're cool with it then cool!). BUT YES QUEEN TAKE THAT VIDEO AND POST AWAY :)
